Hats, Horses, Polo & Pimms – Adrenaline & Elegance at Asia Cup Polo
Soon after Ascot, we galloped into the next fabulous affair: Asia Cup Polo.
What a feast for the senses. As the ponies thundered across the field and the mallets swooshed through the air, the crowd rose to the occasion in stunning designer ensembles and national dress, swaying from cool silks to traditional elegance. The heritage of polo; tracing back to ancient Persia in the 6th century BC, was palpable, yet vibrantly alive with today’s flair.
It was an honour to host the VIP hospitality marquee luncheon and lend my voice in support of The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity through the wonderful Triple C (Cancer Care Community) initiative. This was particularly personal for me, as I stood in solidarity with a beloved school friend of mine who I’ve known since we were nine.

My bespoke millinery creations sashayed across the lawns once more, worn by my glamorous girlfriends as they mingled and stomped divots with grace. My Louis Mariette hats were spotted everywhere; fluttering, floating, and making an impression.
The day carried a heartbeat of compassion. The brilliant Dr Anisha, from ITV's Lorraine, gave crucial advice on recognising early symptoms and prevention on behalf of Bowel Cancer UK. Children twirled down the catwalk as little princes and princesses in support of Surrey Fashion Week and Miss Britannia, reminding us that fashion, at its core, is about joy.
It was a pleasure to be among some truly inspiring people; the visionary hosts Neil and Cordelia Sen, the dynamic Angela Sara West, the ever-chic Daniella Baroness and Helen Burgoyne, and creatives like Luke Anthony and Nayara Freire.
In the VIP marquee? Powerhouses like Mercedes were showcasing their fierce AMGs, as Jacquart Champagne flowed generously, and they received support from the likes of Vertu, Chakra, EarnOS, Red Ribbon, Sen Group, NEO Technology, GAP Trade Finance and RWS London; a wonderful combination of luxury, philanthropy and elegance.

Each Louis Mariette hat that I create is personal. I don’t follow fashion: I follow spirit. When I meet someone, I immediately envision a headpiece that reflects their essence and the occasion. Whether it’s Ascot, Cartier Polo, a wedding ball, or a glittering charity gala, I pour passion into every stitch, every feather and every flourish.
This summer, I also took on a new title; content contributor for Cellotape Magazine; giving me the chance to share the stories behind the styles, the inspiration behind the hats, and the passion behind the scenes. The joy of storytelling and design has always gone hand in hand for me, and now more than ever, I’ve been able to combine the two.
A Season to Remember
As the last of the Pimms is poured and the summer sun begins to dip, I sit here with a full heart and a grateful soul. I’ve reunited with old friends, made thrilling new connections, and celebrated the sheer power of style and community. And through it all, my Louis Mariette millinery creations have continued to wow and celebrate individuality, courage and magic.
